Defender DNA is dreamer owned.
In 2016 my business partner and I started this company as frustrated and confused Defender owners. We were new NAS Defender owners and our trucks needed a lot of work. And to be honest, at that time we both thought a crossmember was someone who owned two different types of Land Rovers. That ought'a give you an idea. When trying to source genuine parts, they were either price no longer available, price gouged, or extremely fragile and disfunctional in it's original design. Both of us having practical science backgrounds, we decided to study the dysfunctions and obvious missteps made by Land Rover when rushing to design the NAS Defender for the US market.
The Land Rover NAS Defender 90 has become one of the most iconic and desirable vehicles on the road today. We strive to create affordable solutions that are smart, beyond expectation, well designed, eco friendly, and purist acceptable. We have taken the DNA from faulty and poorly designed genuine Land Rover Defender parts and created products that are far superior in function, form, and life span while staying true to the genuine/oem appearance. We provide solutions to problems the Defender has been plagued with since conception. Like most Defender owners, often we ask the question "What the hell was Land Rover thinking?"
Our DesignDreamers consist of some of the most creative minds in the field. Many of our patented solutions were specifically designed to combat and stop the problematic corrosion that has robbed us of so many of these limited aluminum vehicles. By using high quality recycled super strong polymers whenever possible we're able to avoid corrosion, stay within the integrity of the original designs, and give a much needed nod to sustaining the environment.
Since we're located on the southern pacific coast in Play del Rey California, most of our ideas come to us while surfing. Or while cruising along the coast, heading home after happy hour. We stand behind all our products. Said by some to be the most inovative and utilitarian ideas for the Land Rover Defender on the market.
